Inspired by Louise Nevelson’s work we created a sculpture playing with shadow work. Louise Nevelson was an American sculptor known for her monumental, monochromatic, wooden wall pieces and outdoor sculptures. (On display at Farnsworth Art Museum.) Shadow work is a practice that involves exploring repressed parts of the unconscious mind to develop self-awareness, acceptance, and compassion.
