Yakisugi Studios Introduces Fire Art Therapy at Good Medicine Collective

Portland, Maine – March 1, 2025 – Yakisugi Studios is excited to announce the launch of Fire Art Therapy at Good Medicine Collective in Portland's West End. These innovative workshops, led by renowned fire artist and mindset coach Cinnamon Brûlée, offer participants a unique opportunity to engage in a transformative art form that fosters personal growth and resilience.

Yakisugi, also known as Shou Sugi Ban, is an ancient Japanese technique that involves charring the surface of wood to preserve and enhance its durability. Cinnamon Brûlée has modernized this practice, creating immersive art therapy experiences where individuals use fire to transform reclaimed wood into enduring sculptures. This process serves as a powerful metaphor for personal transformation, illustrating how challenges can lead to strength and beauty.

"Our Yakisugi workshops are designed to help individuals unlock their creativity and transform fear into innovation," says Cinnamon Brûlée. "By engaging with the elemental force of fire in a controlled and artistic manner, participants can explore agency, build emotional resilience, and foster a deeper connection to their inner selves."

The workshops are set within the tranquil environment of Good Medicine Collective, housed within a beautifully renovated 1920s-era building that serves as a sanctuary for wellness and growth. With its natural light, scenic views of Casco Bay, and thoughtfully designed spaces, Good Medicine Collective provides an ideal setting for introspection and creative exploration.

Good Medicine Collective is a cross-pollinating community for Integrative Health Providers & Changemakers. Modalities include psychedelic-assisted therapy, breath-work, acupuncture, bodywork, and integrative psychotherapy. The addition of Yakisugi Fire Art Therapy aligns with this mission, providing a unique modality that combines artistic expression with therapeutic benefits.

Private, Semi-Private, and Group Sessions are open to individuals seeking personal development, stress relief, and a deeper understanding of themselves through creative practice. No prior art experience is necessary. For more information or to register for an upcoming session, please visit Cinnamon Brûlée’s website or contact them directly at blaze@cinnamonbrulee.com
